Just one of those days....

Today has just been one of those days that you just don't want to have end. I had another day like today just last week. It is such a blessing to be able to have days like these. We started the day by all going to church with Great-Grandmother and Great-Grandaddy Thomas so that we could spend some extra time with Grandaddy Thomas

who has been visiting us from Albuquerque for the weekend. It is always so nice to have family come into town especially when it's the parentals.

After church we headed home to bake a cake for Brennon. Yes, my baby is celebrating his first birthday! Jayden LOVES putting cakes together for each family member so it was a treat to do that with her and all of her excitement for the occasion.

After taking Sunday naps, we headed back to Grandmother's so that we could grill up some burgers. The whole family was there. G-Grandmother, G-Grandaddy,

Grandaddy Thomas and LuLu, Seab and Cristine and their kids, Graysen, Jaxson, Tennysen and Emerson, Mike and Lisa, Jake, Kalee and
Adin, Stephen and Meagan and Elizabeth and then of course Me, Joe, Jayden, Hadley
and Brennon. It was so nice to be together enjoying the nice day and each other's company.

The kids swam (in their underwear because we never bring swimming suits for some reason, maybe we're becoming really country...) while the ladies chatted in the shade and watched the hubbies pass the football to each other. There were foot races and four wheeling and more eating and laughing. It was just such a good day. Then of course, we all sang happy birthday to Brennon and enjoyed watching him very politely dig into his cake (more pictures to come on that). Then once our little family decided to leave, we headed over to Jake and Kalee's to finish the night off with chips, salsa, Swedish fish and some Guitar Hero.







It was a good, good day!
